Resetting the dial

You know what I want? I want to meet my future husband and have him know and tell me that night that he's going to marry me. You know that kind of love, where you just know? It's like an other worldly sense that happens for some couples and I'd really love a love story that begins that way. Or, a lasting love that starts from a really strong friendship. That could also be wonderful. But no more dating people just to date people. It puts me at risk emotionally, physically, and mentally, and it's time to clear it out and start over. I'm resetting the dial, as it were. Tonight I've been cleaning and purging things in my studio with reckless abandon and it feels SO GREAT! So, I'm doing that in all areas of my life right now. Paring down, cleaning out, refocusing, resetting, updoing, and getting happy. Blessings and good health, friends, for me and for you!

I've done it!!!

All of this sudden change has put the wheels in motion in every area of my life... I'm going places! Most specifically... I'm going to Ireland in June!!!!!!! (I know Keith will be stalking my blog for photos and tidbits- I won't let you down, lol) I've been thinking about it for weeks and since becoming single and getting a new boss and aaaall this other newness, I said "why not?". In the words of Tennessee Williams, "Make voyages! Attempt them! There is nothing else."

Better

The past couple weeks have been hard, but renewing. I've bought myself new shoes, I'm redoing my whole apartment, new bed linens, new paintings, door color, new me. I'm creating a sanctuary for myself, into which no guy is allowed to come. No more disrupting my peace with Mr. Right Now. This is my life. It's mine. It's for me to design to my liking, to trim and shape as I see fit. I'm doing this, for myself. And I'm about to pull off my craziest feat yet. You'll see. It's my time to do exactly what I want when I want to do it, how I want to do it! It's my time!!!!

eet

Old typewriters had an eet key, a key like a backspace- it took you back. It didn't erase, but it allowed you to write over your mistakes.
Eet was a way to start over.

"It's like forgetting the words to your favorite song. You can't believe it, you were always singin' along. It was so easy, and the words so sweet, you can't remember, you try to feel the beat, eet, eet, eet." - Regina Spektor (Eet)
